Yakusugi Museum is dedicated to Yakushima`s famous cedar trees - Yakusugi. The museum tells the story of Yakushima, the history of forestry on the island and the relationship between Yakusugi and the people of Yakushima. The building is sensitively designed, in an attractive location, and the displays are done well. An audio English guide is available.

[Open] Open every day apart from the first Tuesday of every month. In August and November open every day including the first Tuesday.
