Ohko waterfall

This waterfall is representative of Yakushima with a height of 88m, which has been selected as one of the Top 100 Waterfalls in Japan. It's about a 2-minute walk from the parking lot and you can get close to the waterfall as you feel the splash.

Senpiro waterfall

It is a powerful waterfall with a drop of 60m that flows down from a huge granite monolith of about 200 m in width. It is said that the name comes from the rock on the left side of the waterfall, which is as large as a thousand people holding hands.

Toroki waterfall

The waterfall that flows down directly from the river to the sea, is rare in Japan, and the height changes depending on the tide.

This is a 19.6m-high chalk lighthouse built in 1873 on Nagata Cape that overhangs the East China Sea. You can not enter inside the lighthouse, but you can overlook the East China Sea, and you can see Kuchinoerabujima in front of you.

Yakushima fruits garden


The garden is full of about 1,600 to 2,000 tropical fruits, including wild and horticultural species. You can  eat the tropical fruits after have a walk inside the garden.

Alpine rose park


Some Rhododendrons from all over the world are planted in the laurel forest along the clear stream of the Shoyoko River (Kurio river) flows. The best time to see the flowers is from March to June, but you can always enjoy a stroll in the forest.

Yakushima comprehensive nature park


An 8 ha park and botanical garden on the banks of the Miyanoura River. The park has a lush lawn open space, and wild botanical gardens. In the park they exhibit and sell rhododendrons.

Saru river banyan tree

It is a big banyan tree in the forest of Takahira district. When you go up from the prefecture road and break into the bush, you will see a huge banyan tree entangled like a rope with hanging air roots. The atmosphere around this tree could make one think that fairies live there .

Nakama banyan tree

It is a giant banyan tree near the Nakama river. It has a tunnel shape and can be pulled through by car.

Sebu rindoh western forest path

Located in the western part of Yakushima, it is the only natural world heritage area that can be driven by car .Is it a forest road that runs through virgin forests that spread out in uninhabited areas facing the East China Sea. You can overlook the vertical distribution of Japan's largest laurel forest, which is one of the grounds on which Yakushima becomes a World Natural Heritage. In addition, if you take this road, you can also encounter Yaku monkeys and Yaku deer .

Shitoko banyan garden


It is a large banyan park close to the shore of the coral reef. There are many tropical plants too, some banyan trees have maybe over than 500 years old.

Yakushima botanical research park


The garden cultivates plants from all over the world, and you can enjoy a tropical feel. There is also a Toroki waterfall Observatory on the course, this view is amazing! At the end of your visit you will have season fruits tasting.
